ΚΙΘΑΡΙΣΤΙΚΟ ΣΥΝΟΛΟ ΡΟΔΟΤΟΠΙΟΥ "Η Πασσαρών"

Το Κιθαριστικό Σύνολο Ροδοτοπίου Ιωαννίνων "Η Πασσαρών" είναι ένας επίσημα αναγνωρισμένος σύλλογος μη κερδοσκοπικού χαρακτήρα. Σύμφωνα με το καταστατικό, σκοπός του συλλόγου είναι, μεταξύ άλλων, η ανάπτυξη της μουσικής παιδείας, η δημιουργία μουσικού συνόλου από κιθάρες με σκοπό τη μελέτη, ερμηνεία και παρουσίαση διαφόρων μουσικών ειδών, η ενθάρρυνση για τη συμμετοχή κιθαριστών σε αυτό, η δυνατότητα συνεργασίας και σύμπραξης του κιθαριστικού συνόλου με μουσικούς διαφορετικών μουσικών οργάνων, με χορωδίες κτλ, η διοργάνωση επιμορφωτικών εκδρομών για την παρακολούθηση καλλιτεχνικών παραστάσεων κ.ά.

Στο Κιθαριστικό Σύνολο μπορεί να συμμετέχει ως εκτελεστής οποιοσδήποτε επιθυμεί, χωρίς όριο ηλικίας και υπό την προϋπόθεση ότι έχει κατακτήσει βασικά στοιχεία στη σπουδή της κλασικής κιθάρας. Παράλληλα, καθένας μπορεί να γίνει κανείς μέλος του συλλόγου, χωρίς να απαιτείται ο ίδιος να έχει κάποια μουσική ειδίκευση, στο βαθμό που επιθυμεί να παρακολουθεί ή να συμμετέχει στις δραστηριότητές του ή γενικότερα να συνεισφέρει στην πολιτιστική ανάπτυξη της ευρύτερης περιοχής μας.

Ο σύλλογος στεγάζεται σε ιστορικό κτίριο του Ροδοτοπίου, χτισμένο επί τουρκοκρατίας, στο οποίο διαθέτει τη δική του αίθουσα προβών και εκδηλώσεων. Το Κιθαριστικό Σύνολο έχει δώσει μία σειρά από συναυλίες, μεταξύ άλλων, στην περιοχή των Ιωαννίνων, στην Πρέβεζα, στη Βέροια, στη Λάρισα, στην Κοζάνη και στη Βουλγαρία.

About Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble “The Passaron”

The Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble "The Passaron" (Ioannina, Greece) is an officially recognized non -profit association that consists of local guitar students and friends of classical guitar.
The aim of the association is both to provide an opportunity for participants to play music together and to contribute to the development of music education. The ensemble has taken part in concerts in several Greek cities (Ioannina, Preveza, Veria, Larissa, Kozani) and Bulgaria.

The Statutes of the Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble “The Passaron”

According to the Statutes, the purpose of the association is to create a guitar ensemble that will study, interpret and present different genres. Moreover, among other things, the association aims to encourage the participation of guitarists of all ages, it hopes to contribute to the overall development of the local music education and it wishes to work with other musicians, choirs, etc. In addition, it is possible to organize educational trips for concerts and artistic performances.
In furtherance of the above objectives, the association could achieve these goals by collaborating with cultural associations, municipalities, organizations, schools, universities etc. and with anyone who is willing to contribute in this direction.

About the possibility of collaboration with guitarists or ensembles from other countries

Guitarists and guitar students from other countries who wish to holiday in the region of Rodotopi-Ioannina and work with the guitar ensemble are welcome to join. The participation is free of charge. The association will send them parts of sheet music to practice and they will be able to take part in some rehearsals which will eventually lead to participation in a planned concert.

The association does not cover travel and accommodation costs but it can help participants find affordable rooms.

Under certain circumstances the association could host a group of guitarists or guitar students free of charge in a local municipal hostel during summer. In this case, they have to give a concert without getting paid in collaboration with the Rodotopi Guitar Ensemble or separately.

About Rodotopi
Rodotopi is the name of a small village of about 1100 inhabitants located 10 km from the city of Ioannina (Epirus, north-western Greece). The village of Rodotopi is one of the oldest in the region. Ιn 1319 AD, in an official document of the Byzantine Emperor Andronicus II, the village is mentioned with the name Rodotov. Also, archaeological studies suggest that the region of Rodotopi is associated with the ancient Passaron, the capital of Molossus, since there are many ancient ruins there (e.g. marble inscription in the village cemetery, the temple of Zeus, statues, coins, etc). Furthermore, Alexander the Great had lived in this area for some time during his childhood (4th century BC) because Passaron was the city of his mother Olympias.
